Training (Institutional)

Corresponding trade of district office

Once the admission notification is issued (June, September, December, March) one has to apply along with the Deputy Director. The application should be accompanied by 2 copies of passport size photograph, photocopy of voter ID / birth certificate, certificate of citizenship and photocopy of educational qualification certificate. Nominations are made for admission to the training through written test or interview.

Modern Office Management and Computer Application Training Course:
The duration of the training course in non-resident is 6 months. To participate in this training, the trainee has to pay an admission fee of Rs. 500 / - (Five Hundred). Minimum educational qualification for admission in this course is H. S. C. Side.

Fisheries Training Course:
The duration of the training course in non-resident is 1 month. To participate in this training, the trainee has to pay an admission fee of Rs. 50 / - (fifty). The minimum educational qualification for admission in this course is 8th class pass.

Garment making training course:
The duration of this training course is 03 months. The trainee has to pay an admission fee of Rs. 50 / - (fifty) for admission in this training course. The minimum educational qualification for admission in this course is eighth grade pass.

Computer Basic and ICT Application Course:
The duration of the training course in non-resident is 6 months. Each trainee has to pay a course fee of Rs.1000 / - (one thousand) for training in this course. Minimum educational qualification for admission in Computer Basic course is H, S, C pass.

Electronics training course:
The duration of the training course in non-resident is 6 months. Each trainee has to pay a course fee of Rs. 300 / - (three hundred) for training in this course. Minimum educational qualification for admission in electronics course is minimum 8th class pass.

Electrical and Housing Course:
The duration of the training course in non-resident is 6 months. Each trainee has to pay a course fee of Rs. 300 / - (three hundred) for training in this course. Minimum educational qualification for admission in Electrical and House Wiring course is 8th class pass.

Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Course:
The duration of the training course in non-resident is 6 months. Each trainee has to pay a course fee of Rs. 300 / - (three hundred) for training in this course. Minimum educational qualification for admission in refrigeration and air-conditioning training course is minimum 8th class pass.

 

Training (informal)

Concerned Upazila Office

At the upazila level, training is imparted in less than 1 month, especially in short duration of 7 days or 15 days. Training was imparted on cattle rearing, poultry rearing, poultry rearing, fish farming, vegetable farming, nursery, handicrafts, bamboo and cane work etc. You have to apply along with the Upazila Youth Development Officer for training. Boys and girls between the ages of 18-35 in the same area can choose the trade according to their needs and receive training. Training can also be arranged in the unused rooms of the educational institutions of the area, the meeting rooms of the Union Parishads, the appropriate premises of the organization or someone's house. There is no training fee for this training.

 

Youth loans

Concerned Upazila Office

There are two types of youth loan programs namely-

(A) Group based loan program: Under this program, loans are provided by organizing the unemployed youth in family groups. Each group has 05 members. Each member of the group is given a loan of Rs. 12,000 / - in the first phase, Rs. 16,000 / - in the second phase and Rs. 20,000 / - in the third phase 

B) Single loan program: This program is running in Pertitip upazila of the district. Under the program, single loans are provided to youths trained in institutional and non-formal courses. 40,000 / - in the first phase, Rs. 50,000 / - in the second phase, Rs. 60,000 / - in the 3rd phase and 60,000 / - in the 1st phase,  80,000 / - in the second phase, 1,00,000 /- 3rd phase of institutional loan.

 

Youth organization registration

District Office

According to the Youth Organization (Registration and Management) Act 2015 and the Youth Organization (Registration and Management) Rules 2018, the district office of the Department of Youth Development provides registration to voluntary non-governmental youth organizations.

For registration in the prescribed form one has to apply along with the Deputy Director through the Upazila Youth Development Officer. 500 has to be deposited in the government treasury through treasury invoice. On the recommendation of the Upazila Youth Development Officer, the registration is given subject to on-the-spot inspection by the Deputy Director.

 
Providing grants to youth organizations

Department of Youth Development

Ministry of Youth and Sports

A) Grants are given to 1 youth organization of the district every year from underdevelopment sector. Grants are provided. The maximum amount of grant is Rs. 20,000. The applications received are forwarded to the head office of the department through the district verification and selection committee headed by the deputy commissioner, one application being nominated as the main and the other as the alternative. The department makes the final decision.

B) Grants are provided to the youth organizations every year from the Youth Welfare Fund of the Ministry of Youth and Sports for the implementation of specific projects. It is managed through the Ministry of Youth and Sports. The maximum grant amount is Rs. 50,000.

You have to open the website of the Ministry of Youth and Sports and click on the application form for the grant to the Youth Welfare Fund of the e-service group on the right side of the page. Application form is available. Information of the organization has to be filled online. Some required documents have to be uploaded in PDF format. On the recommendation of the Upazila Youth Development Officer, Upazila Nirbahi Officer, they are sent to the Deputy Director through online. Then the Deputy Director gives the final nomination through the District Verification and Selection Committee.

A committee chaired by the deputy commissioner recommended the appropriate youth organization to be nominated. The department / ministry makes the final decision.

 

 

Awarding the National Youth Award

Department of Youth Development

Every year on the occasion of the National Youth Day, the National Youth Award is given to the successful self-employed and the best youth organizer. You have to apply to the district office in the prescribed form.
